In its 17th season here at MHS, this program offers free tutoring and academic assistance for any subject taught here at MHS. This service is provided by a group of Davidson College students who avail themselves on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00.
This service is for any students who are struggling, looking for help with homework, or simply want to get ahead in their studies.
There is no charge or formal registration process, but interested students are encouraged to let Mr. Powell know they are coming so appropriate tutors numbers and subjects are available. This is especially important for advanced subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Calculus, and foreign languages.
- Stop by Mr. Powell's room (MAG 111) and give him a “heads up”.
- Email him: email@example.com
- Contact Mr. Powell via Twitter @RodPowell or @Rod PowellMHS using the hashtag #mhsdavidsontutors

Free school-wide tutoring is offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Selma Burke Community Center (formerly the Agape Center). Tutoring is available for any core subject. Students will be paired with a peer tutor and monitored by a teacher volunteer.
If you are interested in being a peer tutor, please contact Michael Kelley by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). You can also get more information on the Community Tutoring website.
Tutoring will begin after the 4.5 Week Formatives.
Our teachers offer individualized tutoring on various schedules before and after school. Please contact your teacher to set up an appropriate time. In addition, many teachers have lists of peer tutors who are available to help students outside of school hours.
