ABCs and 123s are certainly important...And so is cultivating a culture of kindness!
Last Thursday, South Elementary kicked off their Kids for Kindness school club. Over 35 kiddos signed up to share their super power— KINDNESS! What a genuine, meaningful, experiential way to illustrate what our students learned during Unity Month about spreading kindness, including, and caring for everyone!
Kindness Project #1: South Kids for Kindness club CREATED string art hearts ♥️ to be sold at our Art Gallery and Sale on November 3 in Downtown Davidson. All of the proceeds from the sale of the items that our South “Kids for Kindness” created will go to help the family of a local 3rd grade boy, Parker, who is bravely battling pediatric cancer. Parker's family is committed to their mission to “Pound Out Pediatric Cancer” via the “Pounding for Parker Foundation” that Parker’s Family established. Before completing their string art project, Kids for Kindness Club members watched a video about Parker’s journey fighting cancer and his family’s commitment to establishing a foundation to honor him and help others battling pediatric cancer.
