2014 School Bond Referendum
Message from the Superintendent —
Thank you voters of Iredell County for supporting the needs of the Mooresville Graded School District and Iredell-Statesville School District in the November 4, 2014 election. Public education was blessed to have so many businesses, faith communities, town officials and citizens stand up and let their voice be heard for the children of Iredell County. Together, all of you sent a message that every child, every day is a county-wide belief made real through action.
For several years, our district has known that Mooresville High School was in dire need of updating and expanding. Our high school was built in 1948 for a student body of 600. We now educate over 1,800 children at MHS. With this bond, we will revitalize, expand, and make Mooresville High School a facility worthy of the students, teachers, and the community members that use it everyday!
Please feel free to browse this site to learn more about what will be happening at Mooresville High School as we move forward with the project. Again, thank you for your support!
Dr. Stephen Mauney, Superintendent
